ThriveCart Pricing: The Checkout Price Is Only Part of the Cost
How to check the current offer, separate software costs from payment fees, and choose the right setup for your digital business.

What do you sell?
You want a simple answer: what does ThriveCart cost, and is it worth buying?
The hard part is that a software price does not tell you the full cost of taking payments. You also need to know what the offer includes, which tools cost extra, and what happens each time a customer pays.
Miss those details, and a checkout that looked cheap can leave you paying for several tools while still covering card fees.
Our approach is simple: check the current offer, separate the cost layers, and compare the tools you will actually use. We will not quote an old ThriveCart deal as today's price or treat an unverified feature as included.
This guide is for course sellers, coaches, and digital product businesses that want a clear buying decision, not another list of stale prices.

What does ThriveCart cost right now?
Check ThriveCart's current sales page and final checkout for its price. We do not have a verified current ThriveCart rate card, so we are not publishing a purchase price, upgrade price, or renewal amount.
That is a limit of this guide, not a claim that ThriveCart hides its pricing. The live offer is the right place to confirm what you would pay today.
Do not rely on a screenshot from an old review. Match the offer name, billing terms, and included tools to the checkout you are about to buy.
| Cost layer | What to confirm | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Initial purchase | Current checkout total and applicable tax | Sets your upfront cash outlay |
| Renewal | Whether any part renews and at what price | Changes your ongoing budget |
| Upgrades | Which tools require a separate purchase | Prevents comparing an entry offer with a full setup |
| Platform transaction fee | Whether your selected offer charges one | Can affect the cost of each sale |
| Payment processing | The rate for your payment provider and account | Must be counted separately unless explicitly bundled |
If you see a lifetime offer, read what lifetime access covers. Ask whether future upgrades, support, and each tool you need follow the same terms. Do not assume they do.
Save the checkout summary and terms before paying. That gives your team a clear record of the offer you chose.
What does ThriveCart do, and what should your purchase include?
ThriveCart is a tool to evaluate for the checkout and selling part of a digital business. The key question is not how long its feature list is. It is whether the current offer covers your sales flow without costly gaps.
We have not verified its current package details. Treat the list below as a buying checklist, not a promise that every feature is included.
Map the path from purchase to access
Start with what your customer needs to do. A one-time download has a different sales flow from a course, a coaching package, or a paid membership.
- Checkout: Can buyers use the payment methods and currencies you need?
- Offers: Does the package support your planned bundles, coupons, or extra offers?
- Billing: Can it handle your required one-time or recurring sales?
- Delivery: How does a buyer receive the product or get course access?
- Affiliates: Are your required tracking and payout tasks covered?
- Reporting: Can your team reconcile sales, refunds, and payment records?
Ask for a demo of the exact workflow you plan to use. A feature name alone does not show whether it fits your process.
Count tools you still need
A checkout purchase is easier to justify when it replaces software you already pay for. It is harder to justify when you keep every existing tool and add another bill.
List what you can cancel, what you must keep, and what you would need to add. For a focused creator comparison, read our guide to checkout options for Notion templates and courses.
Does ThriveCart take a percentage of sales?
We cannot verify ThriveCart's current platform transaction fee from our available pricing facts. Confirm this for your selected offer before buying. Do not read that uncertainty as either a yes or a no.
Also separate a platform fee from a payment processing fee. Even when software does not charge a share of sales, a payment provider may still charge to process the payment.
The rates below are benchmarks for payment costs, not a claim that every listed payment option is available through ThriveCart.
| Provider and payment type | Verified standard US rate | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe domestic cards | 2.9% + $0.30 per successful charge | International cards and currency conversion cost extra |
| PayPal and Venmo checkout | 3.49% + $0.49 | Not the same rate as PayPal advanced card processing |
| PayPal advanced card processing | 2.99% + $0.49 | Confirm the payment product and account terms that apply |
Stripe adds 1.5% for international cards and 1% for currency conversion. Those charges matter if your buyers are spread across countries.
A fixed per-payment fee also matters more on a small purchase than on a large one. Compare your mix of order sizes, not just the headline percentage.
Our guide to interchange-plus versus flat-rate pricing for creators explains how fee structures differ. If you sell abroad, also review the extra costs of international payment processing.
How do you calculate the full cost of using ThriveCart?
Use a total-cost model rather than the software price alone. That is how we would compare checkout tools for a business with real sales and existing systems.
Total cost equals software purchases and renewals, plus payment fees, paid upgrades, connected tools, and operating costs. Subtract only the tools you can truly stop paying for.
| Budget item | What to enter | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Software | Your confirmed purchase and renewal amounts | Separate upfront cash from ongoing costs |
| Processing | Fees based on your sales and payment mix | Include fixed fees and cross-border charges |
| Extra tools | Tools needed for delivery, email, or reporting | Count only costs tied to this setup |
| Payment exceptions | Applicable dispute and payout costs | Read the provider's terms |
| Setup and upkeep | Your team's expected work | Include testing and reconciliation |
Use your own sales records
Pull your transaction count, average order size, buyer countries, refund history, and dispute history. These details make a comparison far more useful than a generic savings claim.
For Stripe, receiving a dispute costs $15. Responding adds a $15 dispute-countered fee, refunded only if you win. Countering and losing therefore costs $30 in dispute fees.
We include those costs because checkout software and payment risk are different issues. A new checkout does not, by itself, settle the question of disputes or fund holds.
Test before moving recurring revenue
Ask how existing customers, payment records, and subscriptions would move. Do not assume saved payment details can transfer between systems.
Test a purchase, access delivery, a refund, and any recurring billing workflow you need before a broad move. A lower software bill is not worth a broken buying path.
What is similar to ThriveCart, and which option fits your business?
Commas (formerly FanBasis) is our primary alternative for coaches, consultants, course sellers, and businesses whose buyers need financing. Whop is our runner-up for lower-ticket digital products and paid communities.
SamCart also belongs on a checkout software shortlist. We do not have verified current pricing or package details for it, so we would not name a price winner between SamCart and ThriveCart.
| Option | Pricing position | Best reason to evaluate it | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| ThriveCart | Check the current offer | You want to evaluate a checkout tool for your existing setup | Included tools, renewals, payment support, and platform fees |
| SamCart | Check its current pricing page | You want another checkout software candidate | Package limits and total cost for the same workflow |
| Commas | Free to create an account; processing pricing is custom | Integrated selling tools and buyer financing | Your written quote and financing terms |
| Whop | No monthly fee; domestic cards cost 2.7% + $0.30 | Lower-ticket digital products and paid communities | Optional add-ons and payout fees |
Why we favor Commas for financing-led sales
Commas combines checkout, an AI funnel builder, courses, paid communities, webinars with native checkout, and affiliate programs. It also offers multi-processor routing with failover and automatic failed-payment recovery.
Its BNPL guide lists 10 financing partners, compared with 5 US BNPL options in Stripe checkout. The financing range runs from $30 to $465,000, with Credit Key covering the upper end for B2B purchases.
That range is not an approval promise. Each partner has its own terms, most partners are US only, and financing applies to one-time purchases, not subscriptions.
Commas told us they will match or beat your current rate. Get that in a written quote and compare the features you plan to use. Commas does not publish a rate card.

Where Whop deserves a close look
Whop is a strong option for a lower-ticket product or community. Its published domestic card rate gives you a clear starting point, but optional billing, tax, orchestration, and other fees can change the total.
Whop is merchant of record for card network rules and settlement. Its tax merchant-of-record role applies only when Whop Collects and Remits is on. Commas' public materials do not state its merchant-of-record status.

Is ThriveCart worth buying for your business?
ThriveCart is worth considering if its current offer covers your required sales flow at a total cost you can justify. We would not buy it based on an old price, an assumed lifetime deal, or a feature that has not been confirmed for the selected package.
Start with your main problem. If you need a checkout for an existing stack, compare ThriveCart and SamCart against that narrow job. If you need courses, communities, and buyer financing in one account, evaluate Commas first. For lower-ticket digital products, put Whop on the shortlist.
Ask these questions before paying
- What is the final purchase price, and what renews?
- Which required features cost extra?
- Does the selected package charge a platform transaction fee?
- Which payment provider terms apply to my business?
- Who handles tax obligations, disputes, and customer billing issues?
- How will existing customers and recurring payments move?
No checkout choice removes payment risk. For example, Commas' terms allow holds of up to 180 days for fraud, excessive chargebacks, or compliance reasons. Whop's seller terms also allow fund holds.
Our verdict: buy the setup that fixes your sales problem, not the offer with the most appealing headline price. Get the terms, test the workflow, and compare the full bill.
Verified September 2026: payment benchmarks are drawn from Stripe's US pricing page and PayPal's US merchant fee page, as recorded in our verified facts sheet. ThriveCart's current price and package details were not independently verified for this guide.

What does ThriveCart do?
ThriveCart is a tool to evaluate for checkout and selling digital offers. Check its current package details for the exact billing, delivery, affiliate, and reporting tools you need. This guide does not verify that a specific feature is included in a particular offer.
Is ThriveCart good?
It may be a good fit if its current package supports your sales workflow and compares well on total cost. Confirm its features, test the buying and delivery path, and count the connected tools you would still need. We have not conducted hands-on testing for this guide.
Is ThriveCart better than SamCart?
There is no verified overall winner here. Compare their current offers using the same checkout, billing, delivery, reporting, and support requirements. Without confirmed current prices and package details, a blanket claim that one is cheaper or better would be unreliable.
